World Cup Cricket Match
The most famous game cricket is referred as the “Gentleman’s Game” is renowned all over the world. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the governing body of this favored game starting with the preliminary qualification rounds leading to the finals. The ICC World Cup is considered to be the greatest mega event for all the cricket lovers, as the tournament is held for every four years. This popular game is the world’s fourth largest mostly viewed sporting event and is known to be the “Pinnacle of Achievement” for ICC.
Around 20 or even teams participate in this mega event and performs their best by defeating their competitor’s to get the reputable trophy that features a golden globe with three silver columns. Most of the nations have won the trophy while India, West Indies and Australian were the consecutive victors of the ICC trophy. Before the event is to commence different matches are planned with the same course among the teams, so that the competitors are able to bring their outstanding abilities during their practice session.
The tournament was divided into groups comprising of two stages: group stage and a knock-out stage. The current format features with 14 teams where the teams have to play in a round-robin format. The top four team’s progress to the knock-out stage to play quarter-finals and the winners of this match will proceed to semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will face the final match. A team with a huge preparation, confidence and unity would be able to meet the toughest competition in the finals and would drive the victory.
England was the host for the first three matches of the cricket world, later on the other nations India, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and few more were the co-hosts of the world cup. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 has now grown with more potential consisting of more expectations and followers. Also that the winning team would take over the price money of US$3million and the runner up receives the US$1.5million. However, cricket is the major sporting event filled with lots of thrill and excitement and is comprehensively regarded over the globe.

Australian Squad for 2011 World Cup
Cricket Australia had announced the 15 member australian squad for the world cup 2011. Ricky Ponting leads the side as usual. The chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch, said that the team announced.

Indian World Cup 2011 squad
The 15 Member Indian squad for the 2011 World Cup has been announced by BCCI beginning from February 19. Mahendra Singh Dhoni leading the side with seven batsmen, one all-rounder, four pacers and three specialist spinners.
